About

Standhaftighet - n., perseverance (Norwegian)

How to describe the creative process? It is often viewed as a flash of inspiration, a blast of insight, an impulse of genius. Something new and valuable is somehow created seemingly out of nothing.

I believe the creative effort is a collaboration between designer and client. Together, we are in steady pursuit of the authenticity in their brand, product or company. It lies within, and we work to uncover it.

To me, the Norwegian word standhaftighet describes this process best. We look, and then we look again. We talk about where they’ve been and where they are going. And with this knowledge, we create something that is not only new, but deeply and intrinsically authentic.

I am graphic designer and art director who creates and builds brands using print and interactive materials. This includes, but is not limited to, logos, annual reports, brochures, corporate literature, books and music packaging, advertising, posters, invitations, infographics, web sites, social media graphics and environmental design.
