Project Description
The Bergey Voice Studio is a new vocal studio in Aberdeen, WA. When Kelsey Bergey contacted me to inquire about a website design, I was excited to get started. Soon, however, it became clear that she also needed help with print design! I was happy to oblige.
Kelsey had a unique visual dilemma to solve. She wanted a look that was ornate and filled with Italian “Renaissance-esque” stylistic touches, to match the type of vocal music she’d be teaching in her studio (as well as her studio’s interior design). However, she didn’t want something too complex or busy. She liked logos that were simple, classic, and straight-forward. In addition to a logo, she needed a flier/poster, so I knew that it needed to be an image that could stand out at a distance.
My solution was to take a treble clef and embellish it with several ornate scroll illustrations I had purchased on iStockphoto. The results were beautiful, and the logo turned out wonderfully striking.

I love how this logo adapts to a business card. Because it's so tall, it creates a vertically-aligned design, which I think makes it stand out a bit from more traditional horizontally-oriented designs.
