Mom & Dad always said: do what you love.
When I began my education a Pacific Lutheran University, I had already been dabbling in website design for many years. My courses at PLU helped me refine my design sense, and provoked me to always strive to improve, grow, and change with each project I took on.
After graduation, I began a career as a website designer and developer. I was exposed to differing philosophies and approaches to handling similar challenges. I worked with a variety of clients and took on many roles, from a product design contractor to a custom CMS (Content Management System) developer. With each project, I became more aware of the sort of web development I wanted to do and the type of clients I wanted to help. Finally, I obtained the opportunity to completely rebuild the website of a local Seattle non-profit (and former employer of mine) called Real Change. At long last, I had found my calling.
As a child raised by hippies in the bosom of the Pacific Northwest, I was frequently encouraged by my parents and community to find my passion, to do what I loved. That passion is to work with small businesses, non-profits, and self-employed individuals to provide them with sustainable website solutions that won’t break their budgets. I particularly enjoy working with environmentally and socially responsible groups, as well as individuals looking for a way to start or grow their business. As an environmentalist, or “greenie”, I’m always searching for more ways to reduce my global footprint, as well as the footprints of my clients. My goal is to create design solutions that are logistically and environmentally sustainable.
It is my firm belief that everyone deserves the right to follow their passions, and I hope that my passion will help you realize yours. No dream is too big or too small! And I hope you’ll let me help bring your dreams to life.
